With almost a record turnout you’d think it was a glorious evening in summer. In fact we met at Horrabridge on what was a very chilly, but dry night and with a new rider among us – James from Rockin’ Bikes. I wasn’t to see much of James, but it was rumoured that he might be using banned substances. We set off on a ride that had a lot more up than down. I can’t honestly remember many details since I’m writing this almost two months after the event! But I know we did eventually get to the car park below Cox Tor where a few dissidents decided that it must be time to head back. The wind must have been blowing away from Stephen’s ears, since he charged off up towards Cox Tor continuing on a loop around to Merrivale. From there we headed back via Badger Alley to the Walkhampton Inn.
