Despite the doom and gloom forecast, seven riders met up with plans to... well, stay dry and get to the pub really. Feeling that we ought to cycle first, we headed south down route 27 before heading for a round of golf. I'm not a golfist so I'm a little confused how it works but it seems to be a game of follow my leader on bikes around someone's lawn. I think I'm quite good at it and might even watch the Ryder cup (they've spelt that wrong btw).

Anyway we eventually found our way to the Dartmoor Diner before heading back for another 9 holes on the otherside of the road. By the way, golfists can't count. There were definitely more than 9 holes. We then headed over the airfield and then past longash garden centre (it was a middle aged kind of ride) before going all downhill gung-ho to Grenofen. It was then a grunt up the hill to join route 27 at Gem Bridge before panting up the track to the pub. 14 miles and 18 holes. A good night.
